CARE instructions

Care Information

1 Latex is easy to care and look after. However there are some guideline recommendations that need to be followed to keep it looking as good as new.

2 Be aware of sharp objects and those pesky fingernails, latex will tear easily if it is pulled too hard or snagged on anything sharp. So slide into your latex with care.

3 Keep latex away from heat, sunlight, cigarettes and certain metal such as brass and copper as these can all leave brown stains on the latex permanently.

4 Metals can be marked or get scratched revealing the base layer which can rust if there is prolonged exposure to water or oils. For more information on metals please read disclaimer page.

5 Latex can be affected by perfumes, body sprays, body oils, E-Cigarettes oils can also damage latex degrading the material and the glue. Moisturisers and baby oils can also damage latex.

Dressing and Shining

Talc or use a silicone dressing aid on the inside of the garment also talcing/ or using dressing aid on oily/tacky or hairy skin will aid dressing. Always do a skin patch test with dressing aids before use.

The outer surface of latex can be polished using our water based
latex cleaner/polish. Silicone sprays and fluids will make your latex
shine brighter. Do not use any other oil or silicone car oil as these will degrade and damage your latex.

We highly recommend applying  Begloss UV protect or equivalent products to all our uv latex to help your garment last longer.

Cleaning and Storing

Hand wash your latex in luke warm, soapy water and rinse
thoroughly. Avoid heavy perfumed/oil based soap we at DashLatex

use a antibacterial soap.

Allow to air dry when one side is dry turn inside out and allow to dry. The garment must be thoroughly dried and talced on the inside so it doesn’t stick together before storing.

Store the garments in a dark wardrobe in a protective bag,
e.g. black bin bag or suit cover. Latex will crease if folded but these will fall out when hung up over time.

Harness Should be store in there own individual bag to keep metals for rubbing and marking other garments.

It can also be wiped with the blue cleaner prier to storage
preserve the material and be ready to wear.
